High Yielding Canola Hybrids for US Farmers

Hybrid Canola and Rubisco Seeds: About us

Rubisco Seeds LLC was founded in 2009 to service the ever-increasing demand from US farmers for high performance canola genetics...Hybrid Canola Seed. Rubisco Seeds is a farmer focused company based in Kentucky. Our resources are channeled into commercial agronomy support for our canola hybrids and into modern, relevant canola research across multiple US states.

Rubisco Seeds' main objective is for growers of our hybrid canola to have success in the field and in their farming business.  We've worked with a diverse customer base across the US with our main focus always on yield. Our canola hybrids deliver top yield on commercial acres and in National Winter Canola Variety Trials. Ask about our canola products and what will fit your farming needs best.

The success of a canola crop into a given area is heavily dependent on the crop production skills of innovative farmers and support from retailers and agronomists, who are equipped with information on modern production technologies, customized for both the canola crop and local conditions.

Planting Canola

Planting canola seed using generic recommendations of lbs of seed per acre is not recommended due to variations in seeds per lb, field planting conditions, row widths/ equipment used and yield potential of site.

Also note, canola can be sensitive to previous crop herbicide programs.

Grass and Broadleaf Weed Control in Conventional Hybrids

Winter canola is an excellent winter rotational crop to clean up grass infested wheat fields.

Registered Group -1 herbicides such as Select, Assure II, and Poast can be used to effectively control grass weeds on conventional non-GM winter canola.

Registered herbicides to control broadleaf weeds include Group-3 Treflan  and Group-4 Stinger. Always consult pesticide labels.

Ongoing broadleaf herbicide research funded by Rubisco Seeds has identified additional broadleaf control options, availability subject to registration.
